Which design is right for me?
Start with the space and the image you want to use. Final materials and sizes are not confirmed yet.
Choose character over a perfect pose
The best starting point is a photo that feels like your pet. A familiar look, the angle of the head or a favourite resting position can make the portrait personal. A clear subject and a quiet background help that expression stand out.
Check light, focus and framing
Look closely at the eyes and fur before choosing the image. Very dark shadows or bright highlights can hide important details. Leave room around the head and ears, and avoid photos where a toy or another animal covers part of the face. Illustration styles and finishing options are not confirmed yet.
Prepare your design
Choose a photo taken in soft daylight with sharp eyes and visible facial features. Avoid strong filters or a cropped ear. Keep several original photos available so you can compare expressions and framing.
Questions about Pet portrait
Can I use a photo of more than one pet?
You can gather a group image as a starting point, but each animal should be clearly visible. Available portrait layouts will determine what can be included.
Does the photo need a plain background?
A simple background makes the subject easier to see, but sharpness, lighting and an unobstructed face are the most useful things to check first.
